Safe Pets

Safe Pets is a unique program offered by CVHS for residents of Strafford County. As an alternative to surrendering a pet, Safe Pets provides a temporary safety net for pets when their owners find themselves in a time of transition. Victims of domestic violence, those who must be hospitalized for an extended time, and even service people being sent overseas can call on CVHS to provide temporary care. Safe Pets are housed both in shelter and/or placed in foster care.
