Many
of our volunteers prefer working behind the scenes to help the
animals. Does this
sound like you?
Volunteering
to help plan a fundraiser is a fun and positive way to lend a hand
to homeless pets. We'll
keep in touch with you while you work independently outside the
shelter on a certain aspect of an event.
We meet occasionally at the shelter during the planning
stages to talk about progress and share information with others
working on events.
Were you born to run a craft fair?
Do you like to make gift baskets and organize raffles?
Want
to put your sales experience to work for the animals, developing
sponsors for our fundraisers?
Solicit local businesses for gift certificates and prizes?
How about putting together a meal for a big crowd or
organizing a fancy dessert tasting.
We
are also in need of administrative support for events: entering
data, conducting bulk mailings, making copies, and creating
promotional materials.
If
you have a knack for any of these skills and are interested in
planning part of an existing special event, we'd love to hear
from you today!
Just
e-mail your name, address, daytime and home telephones, along with
your interest related to planning one or more of the events listed
below with subject "Special Events Committee" to [email protected]
or mail it to Mary Lou Hendrick at CVHS, 262 County Farm Rd.,
Dover, NH 03820. Stay
tuned as we will meet in August and September to discuss a variety
of fundraising events where you can use your own special talents
to help our community's homeless animals.
It's a great way to get involved!
