Mission Statement

The mission of the Cocheco Valley Humane Society (CVHS) is to provide quality, compassionate care and shelter to our animals in partnership with educating the community with respect to animal treatment and welfare.

CVHS carries out its mission by meeting the following criteria:

• Placement of animals into caring homes
• Promoting spaying and neutering
• Humane Education Programs
• Assisting with cruelty investigation and rescue
• Community Awareness
• Volunteer involvement and support
• Serving as an active voice and advocate for the safety, health and general welfare of animals
• Comprehensive resource center for the community

Customer Service is the corner stone of this organization, both internal and external.
